They also created a fully functional Artificial Intelligence which is running on the platform as a negotiator and a customer care agent.
According to Justice Eneje, “yandi.com.ng is an online marketplace that facilitates the purchase of goods and services, and increase in business revenue by cutting down on offline startup expense – With our negotiator called CLAIR (Cyber Link Assistant In Real-time), we could make business owners run their business at low cost in man power, have accurate accounting and recording of all sales, manage their customers and do all their negotiations without the use of their own time… This also benefit buyers and site users as they’d have a more interactive market place with the ease of navigation and negotiations to suit their pockets”.
WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND FOUNDING YANDI GROUP?
Well, in this age of entrepreneurship, we wanted to help fellow entrepreneurs startup their businesses without spending so much on overhead and running costs which is why we created an online marketplace (yandi.com.ng) and also render professional and expert services in key functional areas like Website Design & Development, iOS/Android App Design and Development, Branding/Graphics Designs, Digital Marketing & PR, bulk procurement and importation of goods.
WHAT DRIVES YOU TO KEEP PUSHING?
Our vision and mission is to be the most digitized online platform for sales of products and services that would make e-commerce easy and reliable for Nigerians and Africans at large.
HOW HAVE YOU BEEN GETTING THE WORD OUT?
We have ran radio jingles, sponsored ads on blogs, put out some Adwords campaigns on search engines and currently we are focused primarily on social media (Facebook and Instagram) as that’s where our target audiences majorly are.
WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED SO FAR?
We have faced a lot of challenges from the government such as extremely high LASSA (Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency) bills, taxes, high running cost due to running the business majorly on a diesel generator because of to lack of constant power supply. Though we are thriving still.
WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS AND GOALS FOR YANDI.COM.NG?
Our future plans involves advancing technology by developing disruptive technologies such as our already created artificial intelligence (C.L.A.I.R). Basically, everything is digitalized these days, we want to make it easy for everyone to operate their businesses seamlessly in this age of digital revolution. A lot of entrepreneurs experience difficulty, either for lack of savvy of the digital systems or just poor digital systems altogether. With ours at work, we could rid people of all the stress, from businessmen to buyers. For example, our AI would speak several Nigerian languages and would be a perfect salesman, she would understand every websites or database she’s introduced to and be able to help run the business online with no human effort. This would greatly reduce errors, stress, misunderstanding in communication, sales and negotiations and book keeping.
